Bevel protractor in English version

Bevel protractor is a measuring tool that measures the angle between two intersecting lines. Bevel protractor consists of main scale, vernier scale, blade, beam, swivel plate, and dial. It can be used to establish and test angles to very close tolerances, because it reads to 5 minutes or 1/20o and can be used completely through 360o. How to use it? First, we must unscrew the large clamp on the front of the protractor. This loosens the blade, so that we can swivel it. After that, align the beam of the protractor on one side of the angle, and take the swivel the blade to form the other side of the angle. Then, tighten the large clamp. Find the zero on the vernier scale. And then, read the number of degrees on the main scale, directly above the zero on the vernier scale. Read the minutes on the vernier scale. The minutes are found by looking on the vernier scale, and noting the first place where the line on the vernier scale lines up with the line on the main scale.
